Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP) and MIT GOV/LAB invite you to happy hour at the American Political Science Annual Meeting (#APSA2019) in Washington, DC:

Building Better Academic-Practitioner Research Partnerships

Details: Thursday August 29th, 5:30-7:30 PM @ Roofers Union (2446 18th St NW, Adams Morgan)

This event is a follow up to our joint workshop last year on “Identifying Best Practices for Academic-Practitioner Research Partnerships” in Washington, DC. We will have a series of “lightning toasts” to share outcomes and tools from the workshop, including highlights from USAID – Democracy, Human Rights and Governance, Mercy Corps, International Republican Institute, National Democratic Institute, and MIT GOV/LAB. The rest of the happy hour will be open for matchmaking and networking opportunities.

This event will bring together academics and practitioners who share a focus on experimental research methods and policy-relevant research and evaluation in governance interventions. Practitioners will include government, donors, and civil society based primarily in Washington, DC that support and engage deeply with local, in-country networks.

Space is limited, please RSVP here by August 20th and feel free to pass along the invitation to relevant colleagues and graduate students also attending APSA.

Hope you can join us in DC!
