Susy was an Innovation Strategist and Design Lead at MIT GOV/LAB. Her work focused on integrating design practices and methodologies into GOV/LAB’s work —from ideation and user research to innovative ways of integrating design as a medium in governance processes. Trained as a Design Researcher in the social and humanitarian sector, Susy has worked for Continuum, MIT AgeLab and MIT D-Lab. Her last projects include mapping of the humanitarian innovation ecosystem in Athens, leading a monitoring and evaluation effort and developing a strategy to organize a group of informal women miners in Colombia. Previously, Susy worked as an Innovation Strategist for a social innovation consultancy in Mexico City with clients such as Unicef, CocaCola, Walmart Foundation, and the Mexican Federal Government. She holds a M.Sc in Integrated Design Management from MIT and a B.A in Industrial Design from the Monterrey Institute of Technology.
